The Journalism program has been a part of the Department of Education since 1991. “The Campus Journalism Act of 1991 upholds and protects the freedom of the press even at campus level. It promotes the development and growth of campus journalism as means of strengthening ethical values, encouraging critical and creative thinking and developing moral character and personal discipline of the Filipino youth.”

Every year, Bagwis Journalists from Sun Valley Elementary School have been consistently showcasing their skills in the Press Conference and Contests from the Division level up to the National level. The school has competent trainers who have been providing enhancement trainings for the pupils. We assure the stakeholders that Bagwis Journalists are and will always bring honor to the school.
